Terms and Conditions for Users/Passengers

Welcome to GoRide!

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our online car rental/taxi booking services. By using our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms, which constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GoRide.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.

  1. User Eligibility

    1. Age Requirement: To use GoRide’s services, you must be at least 18 years old. By using our platform, you acknowledge that you meet this age requirement.
    2. Account Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when creating an account with GoRide. You must keep your login credentials, including your username and password, confidential and not share them with anyone else.
  2. Booking and Payments

    1. Booking Confirmation: When you book a ride through GoRide, you will receive a confirmation message with details of your booking. Please review the information carefully and inform us immediately if any discrepancies are found.
    2. Payment: You agree to pay for all rides booked through GoRide as per the specified fare and payment method. We accept various payment options, and all transactions are processed securely.
    3. Cancellation and Refunds: If you wish to cancel a booked ride, please do so within the specified time frame to avoid cancellation fees. Refunds will be processed in accordance with our refund policy.
  3. Safety and Conduct

    1. Safe Riding Practices: When using GoRide’s services, you must follow all safety guidelines and laws applicable to road travel. This includes wearing seat belts and refraining from engaging in any behavior that may endanger yourself or others.
    2. Behavior and Respect: You are expected to treat the drivers and other users with respect and courtesy. Any form of harassment, inappropriate behavior, or violence will not be tolerated.
    3. Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking: You must not consume alcohol or use illegal substances and other harmful activities, like smoking during your ride. Drivers have the right to refuse service to anyone who appears to be under the influence.
  4. User Responsibilities

    1. Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information when using our platform. GoRide shall not be held liable for any issues arising from inaccurate or incomplete data provided by users.
    2. Unauthorized Use: You agree not to use GoRide’s services for any illegal, unauthorized, or unethical purposes. Unauthorized use of our platform is strictly prohibited.
    3. Device Compatibility: Users are responsible for ensuring that their devices meet the necessary technical requirements to access and use GoRide’s platform effectively.
  5. Intellectual Property

    1. Ownership: All intellectual property rights related to GoRide’s platform, including its content, graphics, and logos, belong to GoRide or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our intellectual property without our explicit written consent.
  6. Modifications and Termination

    1. Updates to Terms: GoRide reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any updates will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or app.
    2. Termination: GoRide may, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to the platform if you violate these Terms or engage in any unlawful or harmful activities.
  7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    1. Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
    2. Dispute with Captains: If any passenger finds anything undesirable about the drivers they should contact us. In case of any dispute directly with captains will give GoRide the authority to cancel your ride and there would be no refund.
    3. Dispute with Captains: GoRide is not responsible for any disputes that may arise between drivers and passengers. This includes disputes over the following:
      1. The behavior of the driver
      2. Any other issue that may arise during the course of the ride.
      3. If you have a dispute with a driver, you may file a complaint with GoRide. GoRide will investigate the complaint and take appropriate action. However, GoRide will hold no legal obligation toward any dispute between drivers and passengers.
  8. Number of Passengers

    1. Sedans: For sedans, the typical passenger limit is four, making them ideal for small groups or individual travel.
    2. SUVs: SUVs offer more space and can accommodate 6 to 7 passengers, making them suitable for larger families or groups.
    3. High Roof Van: For bigger gatherings or events, high roof can hold a larger crowd, with a capacity of 14 to 15 passengers.
    4. Coasters: With a generous capacity of 29 to 30 passengers, coasters offer spacious and comfortable transportation for larger gatherings, events, or family outings.
    5. Safety Measure: It is essential for passengers and drivers to adhere to these passenger limits for safety and comfort during their journey. Whether you’re opting for a sedan, SUV, coaster, or any other vehicle type, knowing the appropriate passenger capacity ensures a pleasant and secure travel experience for everyone involved.
  9. Luggage Details

    1. Luggage Details: The luggage capacity varies according to the vehicle type. Sedans generally offer space for 1-2 suitcases, SUVs can accommodate 3-4 suitcases, and coasters provide room for 10-12 suitcases.
    2. Luggage Loss: Goride will not be responsible for your luggage loss. Passengers are recommended to have their luggages and their valuable items to carry with themselves when there is a night stay.
  10. Additional Cost

    1. Passenger Liabilities: Passengers are responsible for bearing additional costs such as fuel, toll plaza fees, and parking charges, in addition to the regular fare amount.
    2. Passenger Responsibility: If the passengers are booking a one day ride (12 hours’ ride), they are responsible for providing the drivers with food and accommodation or simply pay the driver a pre-fixed amount of RS1500 per day.
  11. Theft Protection

    1. Theft Protection Policy: GoRide is currently providing car rental services with chauffeur only. So, the car’s security responsibility will solely be of the Rental Company and driver.
  12. Captains’ Rest

    1. Drivers’ Rest Policy: The captains should be given a break for lunch and dinner, in addition to a minimum break of 8 consecutive hours during 24 hours on duty. This is a necessary safety requirement for passengers and captains safety in long trips and routes.
  13. Hourly Booking Limitations

    1. Hourly bookings at GoRide are designed to provide flexibility and convenience to our customers. However, they are subject to certain limitations to ensure a seamless experience for all users. When making hourly bookings, please take note of the following:
      1. Minimum Booking Duration: The minimum duration for an hourly booking is 3 hours. You cannot book a vehicle for less than 3 hours under an hourly basis.
      2. Maximum Booking Duration: You can book a vehicle for up to 10 hours under the hourly basis. If you require the vehicle for longer durations, we recommend considering our daily, weekly, or monthly basis options.
      3. Booking Flexibility: You have the freedom to choose any duration between 3 to 10 hours for your hourly booking. For example, you can book for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 hours.
      4. Advanced Booking: We encourage our customers to make hourly bookings in advance to secure the availability of their preferred vehicle during the desired time frame.
      5. Cancellation and Refund: Our refund policy for hourly bookings is as outlined in our overall refund policy. Please refer to the policy for more information on cancellation and refund rates.
      6. Additional 10 Minutes: To offer you added convenience, we provide a grace period of 10 minutes beyond your booked hourly duration. This means that if your booked duration is about to end, you will have an extra 10 minutes without incurring additional charges.
      7. Hourly Extension: If you exceed the additional 10-minute grace period, the booking will be extended by 20-40 minutes, and it will be considered as an additional hour of charges.
  14. Booking Time Calculation

    1. At GoRide, our “Per Day” booking option is tailored to provide you with a seamless and efficient car rental experience for a 12-hour period. To ensure clarity and smooth operations, please take note of the following guidelines for our “Per Day” bookings:
      1. Duration: A “Per Day” booking encompasses a total duration of 12 hours.
      2. Timing: The booking period starts from the moment the vehicle is handed over to you or your designated driver.
      3. End of Day: For “Per Day” bookings, the 12-hour period will end at 12:00 AM (midnight) on the same day your booking started. The next day will then begin, and additional charges will apply for any usage beyond the initial 12-hour booking.
  15. Speed Limit Policy

    1. At GoRide, safety and comfort are our top priorities. To ensure a secure and pleasant journey for all passengers, we have implemented a Speed Policy that mandates our drivers to adhere to specific speed limits. Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines regarding our Speed Policy:
      1. Maximum Speed Limit: Our drivers are strictly instructed not to exceed a speed of 110 km/h (kilometers per hour) at any point during the ride.
      2. Safety First: The primary objective of our Speed Policy is to prioritize the safety of our passengers, drivers, and other road users. By adhering to the designated speed limit, we aim to minimize risks and ensure a secure travel experience.
      3. Comfortable Journey: Limiting the speed to 110 km/h contributes to a smoother and more comfortable ride. It allows for better vehicle control, reduces abrupt movements, and enhances overall passenger comfort.
      4. Feedback and Reporting: If you believe that a driver has exceeded the prescribed speed limit during your ride, we encourage you to provide feedback through our app or website. Your feedback helps us maintain the highest standards of service.
  16. With Fuel and Without Fuel

    1. GoRide offers you the convenience of choosing between two distinct booking options to cater to your preferences and needs:
      1. With Fuel:
        1. When you select the “With Fuel” option, your chosen vehicle will come fully fueled, allowing you to embark on your journey without the hassle of refueling.
        2. This option is ideal for those seeking a hassle-free experience and who want to enjoy their ride without worrying about fueling up along the way.
        3. Captains are instructed to fuel their car in the presence of the passengers to make the fuel cost transparent.
        4. Please note that the “With Fuel” option may have a slightly higher upfront cost, as it includes the cost of fuel for the duration of your booking.
      2. Without Fuel:
        1. Opting for the “Without Fuel” option means that you will receive the vehicle with a specific fuel level, and it’s your responsibility to refuel it as needed during your journey.
        2. This option offers greater control over the fuel expenses, allowing you to refuel the vehicle at your preferred gas station and choose the type of fuel you prefer.
        3. While the upfront cost for the “Without Fuel” option may be lower, please remember that you will need to refuel the vehicle before returning it to avoid any additional charges.
      3. Both booking options are designed to offer flexibility and cater to various travel preferences. Whether you prioritize convenience or wish to manage fuel costs on your own terms, GoRide provides you with choices that suit your travel style.
  17. Tourism & LongTrips

    1. When booking a Tourism and Long Trip with GoRide, please carefully review the following terms and conditions that govern your travel experience. While we are dedicated to providing you with a seamless journey, certain circumstances are beyond our control. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below:
      1. Injuries: GoRide shall not be held responsible for any injuries sustained during the trip. Passengers are advised to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines at all times.
      2. Natural Disasters: In the event of a natural disaster or unforeseen circumstances, GoRide shall not be liable for any disruptions, delays, or changes to the itinerary. Passengers should understand and accept that these occurrences are beyond our control.
      3. Accidents and Negligence: GoRide will not be held responsible for accidents resulting from the driver’s negligence or actions of passengers. It is the passengers’ responsibility to adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
      4. Captain’s Accommodation and Food: For Long Trips, passengers are responsible for providing accommodation and food for the captain. In cases where passengers opt not to provide food, a daily compensation of RS 1500 will be payable to the captain by the passengers.
      5. Luggage Responsibility: Passengers are solely responsible for their luggage. GoRide will not be liable for any loss or damage to luggage during the trip. Passengers are advised to safeguard their belongings and refrain from leaving luggage unattended.
      6. Safety of Luggage: During any stops or stays, passengers are instructed not to leave their luggage unattended in the vehicle. Ensuring the safety of personal belongings is the responsibility of the passengers.
    2. By proceeding with a Tourism and Long Trip booking, you acknowledge that GoRide will not be held accountable for circumstances outlined in these terms and conditions. We recommend that you exercise caution, follow safety guidelines, and communicate any concerns during the trip.
  18. Prices Policy

    1. At GoRide, we are committed to providing you with transparent and competitive pricing for all our car rental and taxi booking services. Our Price Policy outlines the principles that govern our pricing structure and ensures that you have a clear understanding of the costs associated with your booking:
      1. Fair and Competitive: We strive to offer fair and competitive prices that reflect the quality of our vehicles and services. Our pricing is designed to provide you with value for your money while maintaining high standards of quality and comfort.
      2. Detailed Cost Breakdown: When you make a booking, the total cost will be presented to you with a detailed breakdown of charges, including base fare, additional services (if applicable), and any taxes or fees.
      3. No Hidden Charges: We are committed to transparency, and there are no hidden charges or surprises in our pricing. The amount you see in the booking confirmation is the final amount you will pay.
      4. Dynamic Pricing: In some cases, pricing may vary based on factors such as demand, availability, and seasonal fluctuations. However, any changes in pricing will be communicated to you clearly before you confirm your booking.
      5. Payment Security: We prioritize the security of your payment information. Our online payment system is encrypted and secure, ensuring that your personal and financial details are protected.

Terms and Conditions For Captains & Rental Businesses

Welcome to GoRide! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your relationship with GoRide as an individual driver or car rental business using our platform to provide car rental/taxi services. By joining GoRide as a driver or car rental business partner, you agree to comply with these Terms, which constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GoRide. Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.

  1. Eligibility and Registration

    1. Driver Eligibility: To become a GoRide driver, you must meet the following criteria:
      1. Possess a valid driver’s license and be legally eligible to drive in Pakistan.
      2. Have a safe, well-maintained vehicle that meets the standards set by local regulations and GoRide’s guidelines.
      3. Provide all required documentation, including vehicle registration, insurance, and any other relevant permits.
      4. Pass GoRide’s background check to ensure a safe and reliable service for our users.
    2. Car Rental Business Eligibility: To partner with GoRide as a car rental business, you must meet the following criteria:
      1. Be a legally registered car rental company in Pakistan.
      2. Provide accurate information about your business and vehicles available for rent.
      3. Comply with all local laws and regulations governing car rental services.
  2. Service Quality and Safety

    1. Professionalism: As a GoRide driver or car rental business partner, you agree to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
    2. Vehicle Condition: For individual drivers, you must ensure that your vehicle is in excellent working condition and complies with all safety and quality standards set by GoRide. Car rental businesses must provide well-maintained vehicles suitable for rental purposes.
    3. Insurance: Individual drivers and car rental businesses recommended having valid insurance coverage for their vehicles, including third-party liability insurance, as required by law for your own safety.
    4. Safety: You are responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and complying with all traffic laws and regulations while providing GoRide’s services.
    5. Traffic Challan: In case of violating traffic rules, the driver is liable to pay the prescribed fines and penalties for the violation. Prompt payment of the challan ensures a safe and responsible driving experience for everyone on the road.
  3. Use of GoRide’s Platform

    1. Compliance: As a driver or car rental business partner, you must comply with GoRide’s policies, guidelines, and any updates communicated to you by GoRide.
    2. App Usage: Individual drivers must use the GoRide driver app to accept and complete ride requests. Car rental businesses must use the GoRide platform to manage vehicle availability and bookings.
    3. Data Privacy: You agree to handle user data in accordance with GoRide’s Privacy Policy and use it solely for the purpose of providing services through the platform.
  4. Payment and Commission

    1. Driver Payment: GoRide will pay individual drivers the agreed-upon fare for completed rides, minus any applicable commissions or fees.
    2. Car Rental Business Payment: GoRide will remit payments to car rental businesses based on the agreed-upon terms and rental revenue generated through the platform, minus any applicable commissions or fees.
    3. Commission: GoRide will deduct a commission from the total fare or rental revenue, as agreed upon between the parties.
    4. Bonuses: GoRide will give bonuses to the captains that get recommendations on our App and Google Business Account from the customers after a specific time period.
  5. Termination and Suspension

    1. Termination: GoRide reserves the right to terminate the partnership with individual drivers or car rental businesses in case of policy violations, failure to meet service standards, or any other breach of these Terms.
    2. Suspension: GoRide may temporarily suspend the services of individual drivers or car rental businesses for investigations or to resolve any issues that may arise.
  6. Intellectual Property

    1. Limited License: By joining GoRide as a driver or car rental business partner, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use GoRide’s logos and trademarks solely for promoting your affiliation with the platform.
  7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    1. Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
    2. Dispute: GoRide is not responsible for any disputes that may arise between drivers and passengers. This includes disputes over the following:
      1. The behavior of the passenger
      2. Any other issue that may arise during the course of the ride.
    3. If you have a dispute with a passenger, you may file a complaint with GoRide. GoRide will investigate the complaint and take appropriate action. However, GoRide will hold no legal obligation toward any dispute between drivers and passengers.

    2. Incidents: GoRide is not responsible for any unseen incidents that occur during a ride. This includes incidents such as theft, vandalism (action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property.), or medical emergencies.
  10. Speed Limit Policy

    1. At GoRide, safety and comfort are our top priorities.
